Education & Specialized Training

Dr. Hernan E. Quintero, affectionately known as “Dr. HQ,” earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Santa Maria University in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2000. He further honed his skills with additional training in Advanced General Dentistry before pursuing a prestigious Prosthodontics specialty at Tufts University in 2002. Dr. Quintero graduated with honors in 2005, completing his Post-Doctoral training in Prosthodontics and refining his skills in complex dental restorations and smile rehabilitation.

Academic Contributions & Teaching Excellence

A passionate educator, Dr. Quintero began his teaching journey as a Teaching Assistant in Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry at Tufts University even before completing his studies. He later became a full-time faculty member and was promoted to Assistant Professor. In addition, he taught Prosthodontics at the VA Hospital in Chelsea, MA, where he mentored dental students in Removable Prosthodontics while caring for war veterans.

In 2007, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine recognized Dr. Quintero’s commitment to education with "The Dean’s Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching."
